They Call this "Living in the Moment"

So on Sunday when I went to church we had this lesson on Mothers. The teacher suggested that we do something called "Living in the Moment" Which means enjoying our kids more and not worrying so much about having the immaculate house (which I will never have-though I do try), the grocery shopping done, the laundry ironed and put away. So when Zach announced that he could beat the pants off me at MarioKart, this Mom, knew it was time for some of that "Living in the Moment" stuff. Armed with grilled cheese sandwiches, Diet Cherry Pepsi (Capri Sun for Zach), and Wiimotes. We lived in the moment.

I scored my first #1 race in the Mushroom Gorge Race track (which we had to call Ryan at work to tell him-he is not that busy-Right?) and Zach and I played to our hearts content.

Never mind the lunch mess in the kitchen, the bags of groceries on the dining table, the "Can't hardly walk in the Family Room because of the all the toys" mess, and the toilets that need to be scrubbed. I am "Living in the Moment!"

Just so you know Zach. When Mom is "Living in the moment" you need to bring your "A" Game because it is on like Donkey Kong! (thanks to my brother in law: Rob for the sweet sayings)

Peace out!

That was a good lesson on Sunday, huh? That sounds like fun- when the kids first got their DS's last year, I had fun playing SuperMario with them. I've heard the Wii is a blast- maybe this Christmas!

You are soooo cute! I love that you took the time to play with the kids. I feel like we need to let it all go sometimes. I miss your kids and you soooo much. Can't wait to visit you soon. You are such a beautiful example of a mother. Thanks for teaching me so much.
